Two Adult Male RTHA's with L Eye Blindness Available for Placement
Hawks Aloft, Inc. in New Mexico has two adult male RTHAs that are available for placement. The first hawk came in last October with head trauma and a left eye injury. He has recovered from head trauma, but is permanently blind in the left eye. He has been glove trained and has a quiet attitude. He is ready to go for educational or display purposes.
The second RTHA was received in February of this year with head trauma and a severe left eye injury. He is blind in the L eye, and it is somewhat collapsed. He has recovered from the head trauma, but because of it he is extremely mellow and quiet. He has not been started on the glove yet, but would likely be a very good education (or display) bird due to this quietness. There isn't much that startles this bird! He is doing great in the mews and has just graduated to a larger mews for exercise. I think this bird is going to do very well on the glove.
