Are you an energetic self-starter? Passionate about avian wildlife? Seeking a future career in the rehabilitation field? REGI may have the internship for you.

REGI is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native bird species and public education on wildlife issues. REGI provides medical treatment, food, housing, and professional care to assure release back into the wild for 700-800 birds annually. REGI boasts one of the largest flight training facilities in the world used to exercise large raptors and prepare them for release.

REGI is looking for 3 hardworking, energetic, flexible, and fun interns for the fall of 2022. The intern’s main responsibilities will include assistance in avian rehabilitation, feeding, facility upkeep, cleaning, observing avian behavior, and handling. Training will be provided for all these areas. Interns are expected to work long hours. We are working with live animals that do not adhere to an 8-hour schedule. Some days will be a normal 8-hours, but when care is needed for a sick or injured bird longer days will be required. Interns will have 2 days off per week. Interns will reside on-site for full immersion in the wildlife rehabilitation experience. ***If a special project is needed to complete your internship for credit we are happy to work out those details with you individually based on your interests***
