This good-natured aquatic turtle has difficulty controlling her buoyancy in the water, which would make it difficult to impossible for her to evade predators successfully if released. She also suffered some minor wounds on her carapace, which have healed. She is fully mobile and has been successfully housed both alone and with other turtles, though she currently shares space with another nonreleasable female cooter. This turtle provides an excellent educational opportunity for a facility that could provide her with a primarily dry-docked enclosure.
