Lindsay Wildlife Experience is a nonprofit in Walnut Creek, California. We are an educational facility and wildlife rehabilitation hospital. Our mission is to connect people with wildlife to help inspire responsibility and respect for the world we share. We strive to encourage children and adults to adopt a sustainable lifestyle to support wildlife.
We were home to a Pallid Bat that is in need of a companion.
We have 60 years of experience with unreleasable wildlife. LWE has a full-time onsite veterinarian, an attached wildlife rehabilitation hospital (the first in the United States), and an animal care team with highly specialized training that allows for us to take care of animals with physical and psychological disabilities that make animals unable to return to the wild. We give all of our bats daily specialized training, enrichment, and attention.
LWE uses state of the art medical treatments like pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, acupuncture, and tilapia skin treatment (first preformed in raptors at LWE). We can take x-rays onsite, perform surgeries onsite, and have access to a CT scanner. In addition to the veterinarians on site, we regularly work with other veterinarians who specialize in other areas like Optometry.
If an unfortunate circumstance renders a Pallid Bat unable to return to the wild, Lindsay Wildlife Experience would love to provide that animal with a forever home as an education animal.
