Tucson Wildlife Center, celebrating its 22nd anniversary, is the only wildlife rehabilitation hospital in Southern Arizona. We are looking for a veterinarian interested in a collaborative opportunity to work with our experienced staff and volunteers to care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife with the goal of releasing them back to the wild.
Our hospital has a triage and surgery rooms with a digital radiography system, ultrasound, laser, autoclave, fluoroscope, surgical monitor, microscope with video capability and other equipment for on-site diagnosis and treatment. We have ICU rooms within the heated and air-conditioned hospital for recuperating animals, and outdoor pens and flight enclosures to prepare wildlife for release. We also have two dedicated rescue vehicles.
Candidate must be licensed to work as a veterinarian in the United States and licensed to possess and administer controlled substances. (Or qualified to become licensed in the U.S.)
