Juvenile, 2022 hatch
This bird entered rehabilitation after having her right primaries traumatically ripped out, likely from being caught in the grill of a car. Her primaries have not regrown, indicating permanent follicular damage.

Her health has been consistent for a year. Recently she developed stage 1 pododermatitis which has since resolved with adjusting her perching substrate.

She can express all species typical behaviors with the exception of flight.

She is calm. Will confidently and calmly approach if food is offered. Has been trained to station to a scale and eat from a glove. Has potential for use on programs with continued training.
Moves away when a stranger approaches. She is not housed where she sees people regularly or has exposure to new people.

Non releasable Bald Eagle for display, or possible program use with additional training. Estimated female. 2022 Hatch. 4.2kg. Not flighted due to primaries on R side ripped out in a traumatic incident, leading to estimated permanent follicular damage. No feather regrowth in a year. No other significant findings in exam, x rays, fecal or basic blood work. No fractures. Full ROM.

This bird is calm and confident in preliminary training sessions. Trained to scale and will take food calmly from a handler's glove.
