How Do I Become A Member?

The International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council offers individual, group, and lifetime memberships open to all persons working or studying in the field of wildlife rehabilitation. Our community welcomes those from administration, conservation, management, education, research, humane work, veterinary, allied professional practice, and all other related fields to join our mission to improve wildlife-human coexistence.

If you are interested in becoming a member, you can check our page for more information on the different membership categories or reach out directly to office@theiwrc.org for any questions.

Do I Need To Be A Rehabilitator To Join?

No! You do not need to be a wildlife rehabilitator to become an IWRC member. In addition to providing rehabilitators with the most updated information, research, and best practices, our benefits are designed to connect aspiring rehabilitators and curious advocates with evidence-based resources to support your learning at any point of your journey.

Becoming a member can be helpful whether you’re curious about wildlife, looking to enroll in courses, or are currently a practicing rehabilitator. It can connect you with the right mentors to support you and the most updated information to help you navigate your wildlife profession. For curious advocates or those seeking to donate to our mission, our membership resources can also help you understand more about wildlife rehabilitation, its importance to our overall environment, and the crucial role rehabilitators play in supporting animal conservation.
