Maddie Forrester

Maddie Forrester brings a life-long love of the outdoors, a deep-rooted commitment to conservation, and nearly twenty years of public sector experience in finance and data management to the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council. Currently the Associate Director of Budget Management at the University of Cincinnati, she applies strategic thinking and careful stewardship to support large, complex organizations — skills she is proud to lend to conservation efforts.

Before stepping into the world of budget planning, Maddie worked hands-on as a naturalist at Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center. During her time there, she worked with the Glen Helen Raptor Center, Ohio’s original facility for education and rehabilitation of birds of prey. Maddie handled Ty, a Barn Owl, who helped educate hundreds of school children about specialized adaptations, the beauty of the natural world, and ecology. Her connection to wildlife is also reflected in a busy home shared with three teenagers, a dog, a cat, two leopard geckos, and a corn snake.
