IWRC Wildlife Course Scholarship
IWRC Wildlife Course Scholarship
IWRC’s Course Scholarship Fund helps reduce financial obstacles by providing scholarships that cover costs required to participate in IWRC courses.
The information presented in IWRC courses help wildlife rehabilitators to
- Improve welfare and quality of care for their patients
- Keep themselves safe
- Return more healthy animals to the wild
Our goal is to make this information accessible for every rehabilitator on earth. IWRC keeps course pricing as low as possible, often setting tuition below actual costs. However, even reduced fees can still be out of reach, particularly for rehabilitators that serve in economically disadvantaged countries. And so, the IWRC Wildlife Course Scholarship was created!
Scholarships cover all part or all of the registration fee, books, and shipping costs associated with participating in an IWRC course, ranging from $20 to $300 USD. Both current and future wildlife rehabilitators from anywhere in the world (to the extent allowed by law) are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need as well as the practical impact of the information.
Applications are open year-round, and are reviewed around August 1 and January 1 each year. If your ability to attend a specific in-person class depends on receiving an answer before the next announcement date, please email office@theiwrc.org and we may be able to expedite the review of your application.
To apply, fill out the APPLICATION FORM.

Scholarships are funded through community contributions, and the number of award(s) granted each year vary depending on donor support. DONATE to the fund to help us offer more scholarships and increase access to this life-saving education worldwide!
