Ambassador Animal Trainer and Wildlife Educator

Think Wild is hiring an Ambassador Animal Trainer and Wildlife Educator based in Central Oregon to support and deliver engaging wildlife education programs, including summer camps, school presentations, field trips, and guided walks. This hourly, non-exempt position also includes caring for and training our ambassador red-tailed hawk, Shar. The ideal candidate is passionate about wildlife, skilled in public speaking, and experienced in creating educational content for diverse audiences. The role offers up to full-time hours during the summer (May–October) and part-time during the off-season (November–April), with flexible scheduling and priority given to summer camp availability. Compensation starts at $18–$20/hour DOE and includes mileage reimbursement, a cell phone stipend, and paid sick leave.
