This cutie was admitted at 8 weeks old at the end of April. She has always been unsteady and neurologic. We had hoped she would overcome her issues. We have been doing some PT therapy with her and she has improved somewhat but nowhere near enough to be released. Lola is the gentlest squirrel (perhaps because of her neurologic issues) and has never been at all aggressive. She likes being held and is not disturbed by the presence of people or other animals. Lola is adorable and would make a great education or exhibit ambassador. Given her mobility issues, she doesn't require a huge cage and seems content in a Critter Nation with ramps and small logs. She keeps herself clean, eats on her own and moves around her cage independently although a bit clumsily:). Video of her is available upon request.
