medical care, rehabilitation, and release services for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife. Our team works with complex
medical cases while maintaining the highest standards of safety and animal welfare.
Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Seasonal Veterinary Technician to join our medical team during peak wildlife
rescue season. This role provides hands-on medical care to wildlife patients while supporting veterinarians in
diagnostics, treatment, and surgical procedures.
Schedule
• Full-Time, Seasonal: March through September (extension possible)
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Weekend availability required
Pay
$20.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Qualifications
• Veterinary Technician Degree required
• Minimum 1 year veterinary technician experience required
• Wildlife rehabilitation experience preferred
• Strong animal handling, assessment, and communication skills
• Experience with exams, radiographs, anesthesia, and laboratory testing
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
Key Responsibilities
• Administer medications and provide medical treatments
• Assist veterinarians during exams and surgeries
• Perform restraint, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery care
• Conduct laboratory tests and radiographic imaging
• Monitor patient health and behavior
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Uphold safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
