Board Member

Peter recently retired from 42 years working for the New South Wales (NSW) State government in Australia, principally in conservation; governance, ethics, leadership; and legal services, including legal aid.


He has 20 years’ experience in delivering complex, broad scale conservation programs across a diverse range of flora and fauna and in challenging political and physical landscapes.

Extensive experience in facilitating collaboration with stakeholders, designing and developing programs, systems, policies and processes that are adaptive, long lasting, well implemented and effective.


Peter has a special interest in wildlife rehabilitation and animal welfare in emergencies, the challenges, the process, the politics and the people who do it. He is eager to stay active in roles that support this work.
