Rebecca’s wildlife rehabilitation journey started with an internship in 2009 which she turned into a full-time career. She has coordinated and directed wildlife clinics and rehabilitation centers in Nova Scotia, Texas, British Columbia, and Pennsylvania. She is currently working on her second bachelor’s degree and is pursuing entrance to veterinary college to specialize in wildlife and exotic medicine.
Rebecca is passionate about education and training in wildlife rehabilitation and continues to develop her volunteer training and internship programs to enhance the quality of care for wildlife and volunteer retention. She believes strongly in the importance of communication amongst wildlife rehabilitators and encourages the building of relationships between the rehabilitation community and other wildlife and animal care organizations for the benefit of all wildlife in need.
