We have 5.5 year old, parent raised British barn owl and they would only work as a static display bird/no glove work. Skye has been in public view before, and does will with other British barn owls. This subspecies should not be housed with American barn owls, as they are about 1/2 the size and could be predated on by the larger American barn owl. They also do not breed with the American subspecies. This bird is healthy with no history of medical issues. We do not know the sex of Skye, though they are on the slightly smaller side.

This subspecies still requires a USFWS permit. If interested in, please email me at kmccord@worldbirdsanctuary.org
