The Hawaiʻi Wildlife Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to protect, conserve, and aid in the recovery of Hawai‘i’s native wildlife through hands–on treatment, research, training, science education and cultural programs. We are a federally and state permitted wildlife rehabilitation center with operations throughout the state of Hawaiʻi and provide quality and humane care for over 70 different species and subspecies of native birds and the Hawaiian hoary bat.

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Manager is responsible for managing native Hawaiian wildlife response, stabilization and animal care operations at the main Hawaiʻi Wildlife Center located on Hawaiʻi Island and ensure that the Hawaiʻi Wildlife Center’s high standards for animal welfare are met through appropriate wildlife care practices and husbandry. Candidates must have experience in seabird rehabilitation and be able to handle the rigors of seabird fallout season, when 400-800 birds come through the HWC Oʻahu Seabird Aid Program and 40-80 birds may need to be evaluated daily during the peak fallout. Keen interest in wildlife conservation issues is a must.
