Established in 1998, Tucson Wildlife Center is a fully functioning wildlife hospital with full time veterinarians, vet techs. triage, radiology, surgery, raptor ICU, large mammal ICU, small bird and mammal ICU, isolation, orphanage, 15 acres of land with rehabilitation enclosures, 3-5,000 animals/year, 31 employees, 65 volunteers and rescue and release teams.

Description:

Oversee and assist supervisors, managers and staff of all wildlife areas i.e. rescues, admissions, triage, ICU, rehab and releases.
Collaborate with two full-time veterinarians on wildlife treatment and rehabilitation plans.
Oversee staff on all record keeping, with periodic review of year-end annual report.
Supervise and assist staff through each animals rehabilitation process to release.
Supervise and assist managers and staff in the training of new employees and volunteers and the record keeping of those trainees skills.
In collaboration with vets and staff, review and update medical and rehab protocols.
Periodically review all rehab and holding license requirements of Fish and Wildlife Service, Arizona Game and Fish Department and USDA to assure compliance.
Collaborate with vets and staff on foster and education animal health checks, enrichment, routine treatments and record keeping.
Qualifications: CWR from IWRC and NWRA or minimum one year full time employment at a busy rehab center rehabilitating a wide variety of species.
Vet Tech or advanced NWRA training in medical treatments and completion of IWRC's Basic Wildlife Rehabilitation course.
Chemical Capture certification a plus.
Experience supervising staff.
Ability to obtain a State and Federal wildlife Rehabilitator License
