She was born in captivity and raised at a nature center setting. She has always been around people and is very habituated. She easily steps up to the glove, and has a sweet disposition. At one time, she was active in programs and lived on public display. However, at some point she started exhibiting body language indicative of stress - head nod and bating. She is approx. 9 years old (hatch year 2014), and she developed the stress behaviors approx. 2018. I suspect that her small and simple enclosure did not have the complexity to allow her enough choice in her surroundings to feel secure while encountering the public. She was rehomed to a rehab facility to give her sanctuary away from public eye, and she has not been in public programs since.

She has a medical condition called Proventricular Dilatation Disease, but the condition has been managed well for years with a monthly injection of Onsior. Her only symptom is diarrhea that sometimes collects around the vent, so vent monitoring is necessary. She is extremely consistent in her weight and appetite.
