Due to their wing injuries they are unable to fly for long distances. They can perch well and have not seemed to obtain foot damage due to walking on our soft sands.

Our four Peli Enclosure houses the nicest of the bunch. All four display curious and relatively friendly demeanors when around their regular caregivers. They have even begun to approach when food is near. The three Peli Enclosure pelicans tend to be a bit more timid. They are typically avoidant, although they do not show major levels of stress. The two Peli Enclosure houses our two youngest pelicans. They are the most nervous out of everyone. When first entering their enclosure they are a bit more jumpy. They are in our smallest pelican enclosure, which leads me to believe that if given proper space and time to adapt, they should ease up.
All of the pelicans respond nervously when first approached by strangers. They do tend to calm down if distance is maintained, especially those in the three and four enclosures.

We've grown quite fond of working with these birds. Although satisfied living here, we'd love to see them thrive in facilities where they can have more space. They are fantastic animals, with sociable and intelligent personalities.
If you're interested, don't hesitate to reach out! I can provide specific injuries, backstories, temperaments, etc. I can also get some good pictures of everyone. The easiest way to get info is to specify which enclosure your interested in (if any one sticks out to you).

We are swamped with baby season at the moment, so responses may be a little slow, but we are determined to find these guys homes!
