The kite with the left wing injury was brought in after being attacked by a dog. The injury was at the joint of the humerus, radius and ulna. Although the initial break has healed, it healed crooked, leaving them unable to fly. The kite with the right wing injury was brought in after being hit by a car. They had been grounded for a few days prior to their rescue with a broken humerus. As a result, the injury healed incorrectly. This bird has more flight capability than the other.

Yes. Both are able to navigate their enclosures well. They are able to find their food bowls well, and can hop/use ramps to find their way back up to their perches. They prefer meal worms, but will eat chicks and rats/mice.

They may startle when we first enter their aviary, but once they settle, if not approached too quickly they tend to stay put. They have no issues if we walk on the outside of their enclosure.
They react very similarly to strangers.

I can provide any information about these birds! I am unable to attach pictures, but I can email them. We are all very hopeful that we can find these guys good homes! They can go separately or together.
