Izzy came to us as a habituated juvenile. She was orphaned and raised by her finders for several months before entering our care.

She is very excited to see her caregivers. She makes chirping noises and wants attention. She is primarily bonded to one caregiver, who is able to handle her freely. Other caregivers only utilize protected contact with her.

More Information

We have had Izzy for 6 years. She is socialized to humans and loves attention. As she has matured, she only allows one person to handle her freely, therefore we are making the difficult decision to rehome her so she can be with other otters. We had always planned on acquiring another otter, however unfortunately we have hit a lot of roadblocks trying to make that happen at our facility.

We are located in South Alabama and can help with transport.
