Wildlife Internship - PAID

Oaken Acres Wildlife Center in northern Illinois is one of the largest centers in the state admitting 2,000+ patients annually. We are unique in that we accept all species, all ages. The other unique thing? We PAY our interns $15/hr for up to 35 hours a week beginning in May. We are fast paced and friendly. You will learn way more about wildlife rehabilitation than you would ever expect. From feeding and cleaning, to medicating, setting up enclosures, release criteria, wound management, and animal behavior. This is a cool job but it's not an easy job. It's physically exerting and you will need to work outdoors part of each day no matter the weather. Every intern must work one weekend day. It's not like any other job you will find for the summer.
