ISO North American Porcupine

Our center is looking to acquire a North American Porcupine to join our ambassador animal collection. We are a conservation organization that rehabilitates native New Mexico Wildlife, typically rehabbing 900+ animals a year. We have a full time veterinarian and a dedicated hospital. Our ambassadors live in outdoor enclosures that abuts BLM land so the surrounding landscape is quiet and each ambassador has accessible hides so they can choose to be off display. Our ambassadors have training plans through choice-based/operant conditioning training and receive goal-based enrichment as part of their daily care. We are looking for Porcupine that can participate in target and kennel training as well as husbandry behaviors.
