Non-releasable 3-legged Box Turtle Could Be Your Man
- off-site education animal
- static display animal
This box turtle doesn’t let a missing front arm slow him down! Despite a partial amputation, he lives a normal turtle life, including enjoying a nice meal.
He is fully mobile, but since he is missing his right front foot, he would do well in an enclosure with a stable, level floor and soft substrate that will not irritate the skin at his amputation site. He is an excellent eater and would make for a great educational ambassador at the right facility.
