Yes. Fully flighted.

In response to trainer/caregiver, flies to station perch to earn a food tidbit. Relaxed body posture as long as there is no novel stimuli. Will fly to scale on cue for food reward.
When strangers (new volunteers/family of staff) approach the bird in a display-style aviary, response ranges from calm, preening, rouse to mild alert behavior- visual gaze, vocalization.

This young eagle is cosmetically perfect and an ideal display candidate. He is agile in flight and can do flighted u-turns in a 20' wide aviary. He will cooperate with husbandry including coming to scale and can easily be taught to shift if desired. He has been housed both with other eagles in rehab and alone, depending on our case load. He has not developed any medical or behavioral issues while in care.

He is not releasable due to a very minor malocclution of his beak which requires coping twice a year. The left front corner of his lower mandible incorrectly grows outside his maxilla. Due to anxiety with novel stimuli, he is not suitable for off site programs on the glove. Upon admission as a nestling, he had a metacarpal fracture, which has healed beautifully.

X-rays, videos, etc available upon request for serious inquiries.
