Reason for entering rehabilitation.:

Bird found as a chick in a creek, wet and covered in flies

Issues developed while undergoing rehabilitation.:

Chick was brought to another rehabber that wasn't set up for turkey vultures. After several days at other rehabber, bird was transferred to us. Bird was acting comfortable around people, but not enough to think full imprinting. Put chick in with foster parents and tried to wild it up. Bird will still approach people for food and does not have the needed fear response, so has been deemed non releasable.

3. Dimensions and pictures of planned habitat for bird.
3. Will the bird be for static display or on the glove education? If on the glove, do you plan on putting the bird on anklets or tethering?
4. What are your training protocols/philosophies?
5. Copies of your USFWS, USDA, and any state permits necessary to have this species (USDA permits required if your facility has more than 8 birds).
